Content Design

Farsight focuses on delivering transformational change across services, people and organisations. Work areas across government include education, apprenticeships and skills development, social care, rehabilitation, housing, and criminal justice; and we also work with some private sector and not-forprofit clients on key initiatives and important organisational changes. We provide full-service user-focused digital consultancy across research, analysis, design, content creation, engineering, and delivery.

We work in an agile environment, so you’ll be working with everyone on a digital delivery team and will need to enjoy iterative project work.

You’ll be expected to:

• design simple user-centred services in collaboration with user researchers, interaction and service designers

• work with the team to create and validate user needs

• design content across the end-to-end journey - from UX content to emails, guidance to text messages - ensuring there’s a consistent message throughout

• take a product from discovery to live by collaborating with peers in every discipline, including developers, senior stakeholders, communications, and data analysts

• maintain, evaluate and improve content using content strategy, data, research and testing

• lead areas such as product naming, service and product taxonomies, and style

• help your team communicate clearly and shape the narrative for reports and presentations

• take part in crits and contribute to the content design community

• advocate for content and user-centred design in your team, with clients, and in Farsight

• contribute to the internal Farsight content design community, provide mentorship and development for other content designers
