Al Gourley

Al Gourley currently serves as Partner and Managing Partner in London at Fasken since February 2016. Gourley has been a Member of the International Advisory Council at York University's Schulich School of Business since March 2017 and holds the positions of Chairman of the Board and Vice-Chairman of the Advisory Council at the World Initiative of Mining Lawyers since September 2014. Additionally, Gourley is the Chairperson and Director of Trident Royalties plc until June 2024 and served as Chairman of Diamond Fields International Inc. from December 2016 to January 2024. Previous roles include Joint CEO at Fluormin plc and Partner positions at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin and Macleod Dixon LLP. Gourley's legal career began at Noranda as Senior Legal Counsel, and involvement with PDAC included a directorship from 1994 to 2003. Educational qualifications consist of a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Ottawa and a Bachelor of Business Administration from York University.
