Azma Asif has a diverse work experience in the field of education and academia. Azma started their career as an Assistant Professor at International Islamic University, Islamabad in 1996, where they served as the head of the Economics department until 1998. Azma then joined Hamdard University, Faisalabad Campus as an Assistant Professor from 1999 to 2003. Following this, they worked at The Institute of Management Sciences (Pak-AIMS) as a visiting professor from 2005 to 2007. In 2009, they joined FAST-NUCES as an Assistant Professor and remained in the position until the start of their role as an assistant professor at FAST-National University Karachi Campus from 2009 to 2011. Currently, they hold the position of Assistant Professor at Forman Christian College, Lhore since 2011.
Azma Asif completed their Master's degree in Economics from the International Islamic University, Islamabad from 1993 to 1996. Azma then pursued an M. phil in Economics from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, graduating in 1999. Later, from 2006 to 2008, Azma obtained an M. Sc. in Economics from Lahore University of Management Sciences. Currently, they are working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Economics from the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
