David Nayer has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. In 2017, they began working at Fastcase, where they held multiple roles including Editor in Chief for Law Street Media, Product Manager for Docket Alarm, and Reference Attorney, with their most recent position being Editor in Chief. Prior to this, from 2015 to 2017, David served as the Editor in Chief for the Georgetown Law Weekly, a student-run web-based newspaper, where they gained leadership, marketing, investigative, and writing skills. In 2016, they were a Legal Intern at the Federal Communications Commission, working with Commissioner Mignon Clyburn's office and gaining knowledge in telecommunications and technology policy. Additionally, in 2015, they served as a Legal Intern at MotorCity Casino Hotel, working on various legal disciplines such as municipal regulation, contracts, copyright, and real estate. Prior to these experiences, David held positions as a Student Assistant at the Askwith Media Library at the University of Michigan and as a Retriever at the University of Michigan Interlibrary Loans. In 2013, they were a Senior Copy Editor for The Michigan Daily, a college newspaper. David also had an internship at Nemeth Law, P.C. in 2012 and worked as an Assistant at Roden Leather Company from 2009 to 2012.
David Nayer pursued their education in a sequential manner, beginning with their Bachelor's Degree in History and Political Science at the University of Michigan from 2010 to 2014. Following this, they attended Georgetown University Law Center from 2014 to 2017, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, specializing in Law.
