Cloud Engineer at Fastly

Cody Jackson has a diverse work experience in the field of cloud engineering, professional services consulting, and security architecture.

From 2021 to the present, Jackson has been working as a Cloud Engineer at Fastly.

Prior to that, from 2020 to 2021, Jackson worked as a Professional Services Consultant at Spirion. In this role, they were responsible for providing training, project planning, technical guidance, and implementation support to enterprise clients. Cody successfully deployed Spirion solutions in various environments including on-prem, AWS, and Azure.

Before joining Spirion, Jackson worked for The Aquila Group, Inc. from 2018 to 2020 as a Security Architect. In this role, they reinforced pre- and post-sales engineering efforts, designed cost-effective security solutions, and evaluated customers' security posture.

From 2014 to 2018, Jackson had dual roles at Los Alamos National Laboratory. Cody served as a Security Architect, where they designed and maintained security solutions for classified networks and responded to emerging security concerns. Additionally, they worked as a Risk Officer, responsible for quantifying information security risks and developing risk models.

Jackson's earliest recorded work experience was as an IT User Analyst at Western New Mexico University from 2012 to 2014.

Cody Jackson's education history starts in 2007 when they attended Western New Mexico University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in History in 2011. Cody then continued their education at the same university and completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management from 2012 to 2014.

In 2014, Cody enrolled in UNM Anderson School of Management and pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance, which they obtained in 2015.

In 2016, Cody attended The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth for a brief period, where they focused on Business Engagement and the Information Security Professional.

Outside of their formal education, Cody has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they became a Splunk Enterprise Admin after receiving training from Splunk. In 2020, Cody obtained two certifications from Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company: Aruba Certified Mobility Professional V8b (ACMP) and Aruba Certified Mobility Associate V8 (ACCA).
