Darius Fennell

Darius Fennell has over 20 years of work experience in various roles related to video technology and engineering. Darius started their career in 2000 as an Image Scientist at Eastman Kodak Company, where they created a multi-camera video surveillance lab and utilized biometric technology.

From 2004 to 2011, Darius worked at ITT as an Image Scientist, where they conducted a study comparing compression standards and developed image processing tools.

Darius then joined Exelis as a Senior Motion Image Scientist/Media Engineer, where they implemented video quality metrics software and provided guidance on video compression and metadata compliance.

At A2Zlogix, Darius served as a Video Support Engineer: Technical Lead, leading a support team, performing troubleshooting, and utilizing various technologies for daily tasks and problem solving.

From 2016 to 2020, they worked at Comcast as a Product Support Engineer, acting as a Technical Accounts Manager and providing end-to-end product support for video cloud solutions. Darius worked closely with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues reported by clients.

Most recently, Darius joined Fastly in 2020 as a Cloud Engineer.

Darius Fennell has a Master's Degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Rochester, which they obtained in 2009. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's Degree in the same field of study from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2000. In terms of additional certifications, Darius obtained the Akamai Media Delivery Foundations certification from Akamai Technologies in October 2017 and the HDI Customer Service Representative certification from HDI in March 2015.
