Michael Weir

Michael Weir has over 25 years of work experience in the technology industry. Michael is currently serving as the Sr. Manager of Infrastructure Services at Fastly, where they started in June 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Dataduct Networks from September 2020 to June 2022.

From August 2017 to September 2020, Michael worked at Inocybe Technologies as the VP of Product Management. During this time, they were responsible for managing product development and strategy. Michael also worked as a Managing Director at their own company, which they started in May 2017 and ran until September 2020.

Before that, Michael served as the VP of Technology & Operations at CENGN - Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks from July 2014 to April 2017. In this role, they led the development and maintenance of a unique NGN platform called the CENGN Common Platform.

Michael's earlier experience includes roles such as Enterprise Solutions Manager at CTDI from March 2013 to May 2014, Senior Solution Sales Manager at Huawei from October 2011 to January 2013, and SRC SME Lead at Alcatel-Lucent from 2010 to 2011.

Michael began their career as a Network Engineer at Nuvo Network Management in 1995. Michael also spent several years at Cisco Systems, where they held positions such as Manager of Technical Marketing from April 2007 to November 2009, and Technical Marketing Engineer from April 2003 to April 2007.

Michael Weir attended Athabasca University from 2011 to 2013, where they obtained a Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Management. Michael'sfield of study was Business Administration, Management, and Operations.
