Senior Security Solutions Architect at Fastly

Patrick Francois has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology industry. Patrick started their career as a Network and Telecommunication Technician at Orange in 2009 before moving on to Orange Business Services as a Network and Systems Engineer in 2011. At Orange Business Services, they later became an Implementation Project Manager, responsible for delivering cloud computing projects.

In 2016, Patrick joined Quintessentially Lifestyle as an IT & Telecom Engineer before transitioning to CDNetworks as a CDN Solutions Architect. In this role, they monitored and maintained the global CDN infrastructure and provided troubleshooting and support for key strategic customers.

Patrick then joined Distil Networks (Part of Imperva) in 2017 as a Security Implementation Engineer. Here, they implemented various security solutions for notable clients such as Lufthansa, Swiss Airlines, Entropay, and Wirecard. Patrick also installed Distil Mobile SDK solution on customers' native apps for mobile app protection.

Most recently, Patrick has been working at Fastly since 2019. Patrick initially joined as a Security Solutions Architect before being promoted to Senior Security Solutions Architect in 2020.

Throughout their career, Patrick has demonstrated expertise in areas such as bot mitigation, web security, load-balancers, content delivery networks, DDoS mitigation, and SSL certificate implementation. Patrick possesses strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and is familiar with various industry-standard tools and technologies.

Patrick Francois completed their education history with a Master's Degree in Network and Telecommunication Engineering from ESIEE PARIS, from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained their Associate's Degree in Network and Telecommunications from IUT de Velizy, from 2009 to 2011. In addition, they obtained a TOEIC certification from TOEIC Program in September 2016.
