Salman Saghafi

Salman Saghafi, PhD, is currently employed as a Principal Software Engineer at Fastly since March 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Xage Security from December 2018 to March 2020 as a Software Engineer. From July 2015 to November 2018, they were a Software Engineer at Shape Security. Before their industry experience, they were a Research Assistant at Worcester Polytechnic Institute from May 2011 to May 2015. Salman started their career as a Test Engineer at System Group from February 2010 to August 2010. Salman also had an internship as a Software Development Intern at epiGenesys Ltd from September 2008 to May 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Faramakan, CO. from October 2007 to August 2008. Salman's earlier experiences include working as a Software Developer at System Group from May 2005 to October 2007, and as a Software Developer at Pishrayan Paytakht from September 2002 to May 2005.

Salman Saghafi, PhD, has a strong educational background in computer science. Salman obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Master's degree in Advanced Software Engineering from The University of Sheffield, where they studied from 2008 to 2010. Salman's educational journey began at Iran University of Science and Technology, where they earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering between 2001 and 2006.

In addition to their academic achievements, Salman has also obtained several certifications. Salman is a Certified Scrum Master, having completed the certification program offered by Scrum Alliance in December 2017. Salman also holds a Certificate on Formal Techniques, which they obtained from Menlo College in May 2011. These certifications further enhance Salman's expertise and demonstrate their commitment to professional development in the field of computer science.
