Martin A. Brown

Martin A. Brown has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Martin A. began their career at Electronic Theater Controls as a Project Manager from September 1996 to December 1998. Martin A. then joined SecurePipe, Inc. as a Network Administrator and Senior Network Security Engineer from December 1998 to December 2005. After that, they worked at SitePen, Inc. as a Server Systems Developer/Administrator from May 2006 to July 2007.

From July 2007 to September 2014, Martin held the position of Senior Software Developer and Development Manager at Renesys Corporation. Here, they utilized open source and proprietary software to generate network intelligence from routing information and traceroute data. Martin A. also hired and managed a team of developers.

Martin then joined Dyn (Dynamic Network Services) in May 2014 as a Development Manager. Martin A. played a key role in integrating the Renesys team, application, and data services. Martin A. collaborated with Dyn leadership and advocated for the inclusion of Renesys personnel during the integration process.

Currently, Martin A. Brown is the Director of Engineering at Fastly, a position they have held since May 2016.

Martin A. Brown obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Earlham College between 1989 and 1993. Martin A. then attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a Master's degree in German Literature from 1994 to 1996.
