Mark Shenk

Mark Shenk is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in pricing reporting and energy journalism. Currently serving as a Senior Pricing Reporter at Fastmarkets since October 2020, Mark previously worked as a Steel Reporter. Between August 2017 and September 2020, Mark operated as a freelance writer, author, and journalist. Prior to this, Mark spent nearly two decades at Bloomberg News from 1999 to May 2017, focusing on crude oil market coverage in New York, where responsibilities included producing detailed outlook pieces and monthly OPEC production estimates. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from New York University, completed in December 1997.
