Frans Middendorff

Frans Middendorff has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries. Frans began their career as an Account Manager at Achmea Investment Management in 1994, and later worked as a Client Services Manager at Barclays Investment Bank in 1998. In 1999, they rejoined Achmea Investment Management as a Senior Account Manager. Frans then transitioned into the field of journalism, working as a Reporter at BNR Nieuwsradio from 2000 to 2002, and as a reporter at RTL Z from 2002 to 2005. Frans then pursued freelance journalism, focusing on Greater China and being based in Hong Kong from 2005 to 2007. Frans joined ING - Corporate Communications in 2009 as a Press Officer, and eventually took on various roles such as Head of Content and ad interim Head of Corporate Communications APAC. Their responsibilities at ING included leading a team of international professionals and delivering engaging content across internal and external channels. In 2015, Frans became the Expertise Lead Content Team at ING Corporate HQ, overseeing content creation for all corporate levels. Frans recently joined Fastned in 2021 as the Head of Communications & PR, where they are focused on building up the communications function and growing the Fastned brand through impactful and engaging communication.

Frans Middendorff attended the University of Amsterdam from 1986 to 1991, where they earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. Frans then pursued further education at Seattle University from 2006 to 2008, obtaining a Masters degree from the Business School. In 2016, Frans Middendorff attended Nyenrode Business University for the ING Corporate Program.
