Roland van der Put

Roland van der Put has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Roland began their career as a Trainee Researcher at KPN Research in 1997 before moving on to CompuServe, where they worked as a Forum Manager from 1996 to 1997. Roland then joined ABN AMRO Bank N.V., where they held various roles, including IT Product Specialist, IT Auditor, and Senior IT Auditor from 1998 to 2007. Roland then worked at Protiviti as a Manager of Internal Audit Services, advising companies on improving their internal audit departments and executing complex audits. Roland then joined LeasePlan as an Audit Manager from 2008 to 2011, conducting internal audits at LeasePlan entities in 30 countries. Following this, they became the Manager ICT at LeasePlan Bank, responsible for translating business strategy into an ICT strategy and managing the integrity and availability of systems. Currently, Roland works at Fastned as an Energy Sourcing Manager, leading the expansion of their European network of fast charging stations for electric vehicles. Roland also served as the Head of Charging Technology at Fastned, providing technical guidance internally and externally on technical topics. Roland's expertise lies in audit management, ICT strategy, and charging technology within the electric vehicle industry.

Roland van der Put completed their secondary education at Willem de Zwijger scholengemeenschap from 1987 to 1993, where they obtained a VWO degree. Roland then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Technical Computer Science at Delft University of Technology from 1993 to 1998, resulting in an MSc. In 2001, they attended TiasNimbas Business School and completed an Executive Master of IT-Auditing (RE) from 2001 to 2003. Additionally, in the same year, they undertook postgraduate studies in IT Auditing at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam for a brief period.

Roland also holds several certifications. In 2004, they obtained the Registered EDP Auditor (RE) certification from NOREA. Later, in 2006, they earned the Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from The Institute of Internal Auditors. Finally, in 2008, Roland obtained the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA.
