Runqing Zhang

Runqing Zhang started their work experience as a Teaching Assistant at The University of British Columbia from September 2015 to December 2016. They then worked as a Software Engineer Intern at LMI Technologies from January 2017 to August 2017, where they mainly focused on C-based OO framework and Python, including writing data mining scripts in Python.

After that, they joined realtor.com as a Software Engineer Intern from May 2018 to December 2018. In this role, they worked on Ruby on Rails and JavaScript, setting up testing and deploying environments and scripts for the team's new application. They also implemented Jquery Bootgrid table front end and API calls, improving the application's speed and functionality.

From May 2019 to July 2021, Runqing Zhang worked as a Software Engineer 2 at LMI Technologies, where they mainly worked on C# and C++ software applications. They parallelized the HDR image combination process using the company's C++ framework, resulting in a 4x performance improvement.

In 2022, they had a research internship at AMD from May 2022 to December 2022. Currently, they are working as a Software Engineer at Fathom starting from June 2023.

Runqing Zhang earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from The University of British Columbia from 2014 to 2019. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Computing at the University of Toronto from 2021 to 2022.
