Mona Hossaini

Mona Hossaini is an experienced professional with a strong background in gender development, policy research, and advocacy. Currently serving as a Senior Desk Officer at the Folke Bernadotte Academy since August 2022, Hossaini has previously held roles including Research and Policy Expert at the Afghanistan Mechanism for Inclusive Peace and Program Consultant at Muslim Hands. Other notable positions include training and consultancy work focused on gender responsive program design, and leading gender initiatives at the Afghanistan Justice Organization. Hossaini has also contributed to academia as a Political Science Lecturer at Goharshad Private University and has substantial experience in social research related to migration. Hossaini holds master's degrees in South Asian Studies and Political Science and International Relations from the University of Kashmir and IKS, respectively.
