Emer O'Byrne

Emer O'Byrne has held various positions within the insurance industry. From 2018 to the present, they have been working at FBD Insurance, starting as the Head of Personal Lines and later moving to the role of Interim Chief Underwriting Officer - Personal Lines. They are currently the National Head of Branch Strategy and Sales Performance. Prior to this, Emer worked at Aviva from 1999 to 2018, holding roles such as Personal Lines - Senior Product Manager, Home Portfolio & Underwriting Manager, and Senior Manager - Underwriting Development & Delivery. They also have experience as a Business Analyst and Actuarial Trainee.

Emer O'Byrne obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics & English from Dublin City University, where they studied from 1996 to 1999. Emer later pursued a Master of Arts degree in English at St. Patrick's College Drumcondra, attending from 2001 to 2003.
