Ronan Clancy

Ronan Clancy has over 25 years of work experience in the insurance industry, with a focus on data strategy, data analytics, and data architecture. Currently, they serve as the Head of Data Strategy at FBD Insurance, where they are responsible for building a dynamic data analytics capability and creating a data community. Prior to this role, they worked as a Data & Analytics Manager and Data Architect at FBD Insurance, where they developed and implemented data warehouse and analytics strategies.

Before joining FBD Insurance, Ronan worked at Ark Life Assurance as an IT Project Manager, responsible for data migrations and policy data migration. Ronan also held positions at Aviva plc, where they managed teams supporting data warehouse and business intelligence systems, and Ark Life, where they served as an IT Project Manager and a Team Lead.

Ronan's early career includes roles as a programmer at Guardian Life and Ark Life, where they developed expertise in VB6, SQL Server, AS/400 Cobol, and batch processes. Throughout their career, Ronan has demonstrated strong leadership skills, project management capabilities, and technical expertise in data-related roles.

Ronan Clancy obtained an MSc in Computing with a specialization in Data Analytics from Technological University Dublin. Ronan completed this degree between 2013 and 2015.
