Gerard Blanton

Gerard Blanton has a diverse work experience in the advertising industry. Gerard most recently served as the SVP Creative Director at FCB Chicago since August 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of VP Creative Director at FCB Chicago from October 2018 to August 2021. Gerard also worked as a Creative Director at FCB Chicago from October 2016 to October 2018, and as an Associate Creative Director at FCB Chicago from May 2015 to October 2016.

Before joining FCB Chicago, Gerard worked at SapientNitro as an Associate Creative Director from August 2014 to May 2015, and as a Senior Art Director from April 2013 to August 2014.

Prior to their time at SapientNitro, Gerard worked at Critical Mass as a Senior Art Director from September 2012 to April 2013, and as an Art Director from September 2010 to September 2012. Gerard also briefly worked as an Art Director at gyro from May 2010 to August 2010.

Before joining Critical Mass and gyro, Gerard worked at Tribal Worldwide as an Art Director from September 2009 to April 2010. Gerard also worked at The Republik as an Art Director from April 2007 to September 2009, and at The Martin Agency as an Art Director from August 2006 to December 2006.

Gerard Blanton pursued their education starting in 1997 at Hampden-Sydney College, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in History in the year 2001. Following this, from 2004 to 2006, Gerard attended Virginia Commonwealth University to obtain a Master of Science degree in Art Direction.
