Bruce Yu

Bruce Yu's work experience includes positions at various organizations. Bruce started their journey in 2020 as a Fellow at Nu School. From there, they worked as a Social Media Manager at FCSS-FESC from February 2020 to June 2020. In 2021, they served as a Student Trustee at York Region District School Board and took on the roles of Operations Manager for the Harold Kim Campaign and Social Media & Communications Consultant for the Sabrina Zuniga Campaign at the Conservative Party of Canada. In 2022, they worked as a Data Support & IT Consultant and a Data Management & Website Consultant for the Dawn Gallagher Murphy Campaign at the Ontario PC Party. Bruce also served as a Campaign Manager for the Robert Kolosowski Trustee Campaign before becoming a Public Appointee on the Minister's Advisory Council on Special Education at Education | Éducation in February 2023. Alongside their other roles, they held various positions at FCSS-FESC, including Chief Communications Officer, Chief Operations Officer, Executive Director, and Board Director, starting in 2020 and ending in 2023.

Bruce Yu completed their Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies degree from Western University, where they studied from 2023 to 2027. Prior to that, they obtained an IB Diploma from the International Baccalaureate institution. Additionally, Bruce received a Certificate in Education Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School.

In terms of certifications, Bruce obtained the following:

- Google Project Management: Professional Certificate from Coursera in June 2023.

- Google IT Support Professional certification from Coursera in May 2022.

- Intuit Academy Bookkeeping certification from Intuit in May 2022.

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from Save a Life Certifications by NHCPS in June 2021.

- Google Professional Workspace Administrator certification from Coursera in September 2020.
