Matthew Shiveley, CPA, MBA, has a strong background in finance and accounting with experience spanning over 15 years. Matthew has worked in various roles, including Chief Financial Officer, Director of Finance, Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, and Treasury and Accounting Contractor.

Throughout their career, Matthew has demonstrated expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and implementing internal controls. Matthew has successfully led the development of annual budgets for multiple departments and organizations, implemented new financial reporting processes, and created driver-based financial models.

Matthew has also worked on revenue recognition policies, managed intercompany transactions, and developed processes to ensure accurate organizational accounting. Matthew has experience in treasury management, cash forecasting, and managing investments valued at billions of dollars.

With their strong analytical and financial skills, Matthew has presented strategic initiatives and financial information to boards of directors and provided financial leadership to departments. Matthew is highly proficient in GAAP compliance and has a proven track record of improving financial processes and efficiency.

Currently, Matthew serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Franklin D. Azar & Associates, P.C., where they are responsible for overseeing financial operations.

Matthew Shiveley earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech. Matthew later pursued an MBA from the same institution. In 2010, they obtained their CPA certification. Matthew also holds additional certifications as a CFA Level 3 Candidate and a CTP (inactive).
