Matt Deseelhorst

Matt DeSeelhorst is an experienced aviation professional with a robust background in safety inspection and management. Currently serving as a Principal Aviation Safety Inspector specializing in avionics at the Federal Aviation Administration since October 2006, Matt oversees a significant Part 135 Helicopter Air Ambulance operator across the western United States. Additionally, Matt acts as a focal point and subject matter expert for Unmanned Aircraft Systems, addressing a wide range of inquiries and incidents. Prior to this role, Matt held various positions in the avionics field, including General Manager at Bay Avionics, Inc., where responsibilities encompassed operations management, project planning, and regulatory compliance, as well as ownership of an avionics company and roles as an avionics technician in earlier career stages.
