John Kavanaugh has over two decades of experience with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), currently serving as a Special Agent on the Joint Terrorism Task Force since November 1999. Kavanaugh specializes in investigating terrorist activities online, including the use of social media, encrypted applications, and online radicalization. Kavanaugh has held various roles, including Behavioral Analysis Unit Coordinator, where collaboration with multiple agencies was essential for threat assessments and training on violence prevention. Kavanaugh also provided legal advice within the FBI Miami Division, focusing on criminal, national security, and constitutional law.
