Geoffrey Starks is a seasoned legal and regulatory professional with extensive experience spanning various prominent roles. Currently serving as a Commissioner at the Federal Communications Commission since November 2015, Starks has played a pivotal role in overseeing investigations and enforcement actions, contributing to over $200 million in settlements. Prior to this, Starks served as Senior Counsel at the U.S. Department of Justice, advising on complex legal matters, and as an Associate at Williams & Connolly LLP, where significant achievements included handling Major League Baseball salary-arbitration cases. Starks began his career as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Duane Benton in the 8th Circuit Court of Appeals and has also worked as a Staff Member in the Illinois State Senate and an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Starks holds a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and an Associate’s Degree from Harvard University.
