Nathan Simington

Nathan Simington is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in law and regulatory affairs. Currently serving as a Commissioner at the Federal Communications Commission since December 2020, Simington held a position as Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of Commerce for a brief period in 2020. Prior to that, Simington worked as Senior Counsel at Brightstar Corp., a leading wireless distribution company with a global presence. Earlier career roles include Associate positions at prestigious law firms such as Chapman and Cutler LLP, Kirkland & Ellis LLP, and Mayer Brown, where expertise in asset securitization, corporate law, and finance was developed. Simington holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan and multiple degrees in music from Eastman School of Music and Lawrence University.
