Sarah Kwon currently serves as a Paralegal at Federal Defenders of New York Inc. since July 2022. Prior to this role, Sarah worked as a Nonprofit Consultant at the University of Chicago's Community Programs Accelerator, where strategic marketing initiatives for eight nonprofits were revamped, and significant grant funding was allocated to address COVID-19 challenges. Sarah's experience also includes a Program Intern position at the Illinois Prison Project, where advocacy and research were conducted for incarcerated clients, and a Research Assistant role at the University of Chicago Law School focusing on privacy and civil rights policies of fusion centers. As an Odyssey Scholar Community Fellow, engaging activities for first-generation and low-income students were planned, while prior positions included project management support at Chicago Public Schools and legal assistance at immigrant rights organizations. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Law, Letters, and Society, as well as Romance Languages and Literature from the University of Chicago.
