Noha Abdel-Karim

Noha Abdel-karim, Ph.D., is an experienced Electrical Engineer currently working at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission since December 2022. Prior to this role, Noha served as a Full Engineer at RAND Corporation and held the position of Senior Engineer for Reliability Assessment at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation, where responsibilities included processing probabilistic assessment reports and leading several task forces addressing overall system reliability. Noha's earlier experience includes a Manager position at Pyramid Consulting International, implementing operational strategies at a fossil fuel plant, as well as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Carnegie Mellon University, where Noha completed a Ph.D. in Engineering and Public Policy. Educational credentials also include a Master's degree in Electrical Power Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, both from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport.
