Christopher J. Rothwell has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Starting in 2007, they worked as an Advertising Account Representative for Pioneer Press. In 2010, they participated in the ACC Summer Diversity Internship Program at Verizon Wireless. In 2011, they interned at Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, where they conducted research, drafted agreements, and worked with a bio-technology firm. Following that, they held roles as a Contract & Lease Reviewer at Robert Half Legal and as a Document Review Attorney at Special Counsel, where they reviewed contracts and leases and corporate documents for securities litigation. Rothwell then joined the Federal Home Loan Bank of Chicago in 2014, taking on various roles. Christopher J. started as a Documentation Specialist, drafting and executing letters of credit and managing member bank documentation. Christopher J. later became a Team Lead, managing a specialist staff, developing operational controls, and representing the organization externally. Finally, Rothwell assumed the role of AVP and Team Lead for the Affordable Housing Program (AHP), where they conducted research and design for AHP implementation, coordinated with stakeholders, and managed a team of Community Investment professionals. In May 2022, they were promoted to Vice President and Manager of CI Policy, Risk, and Compliance at the bank.
Christopher J. Rothwell completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Political Science from Florida State University, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree at the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, from 2009 to 2012. In addition to their formal education, Rothwell obtained certifications in Problem Solving and Business Strategy from McKinsey & Company in 2021.
