Jordan Berman

Jordan Berman is an accomplished legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Federal Public Defender, providing defense services for indigent individuals in federal habeas and state clemency proceedings since March 2017. Previously, Jordan held the position of Associate Assistant Attorney General at the Ohio Attorney General's Office from May 2014 to March 2017, representing state office holders in various courts and earning accolades such as the Ohio State Bar Association's Best Brief Award in 2017. Additional experience includes teaching Appellate Advocacy as an Adjunct Professor at Ohio State University Mortz College of Law and working on human rights litigation as a Staff Attorney with the Human Rights Law Foundation. Jordan's legal journey also encompasses significant roles including Law Clerk for reputable legal institutions and authorship of critical publications related to human rights and legal standards. Jordan earned a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and a B.A. in Criminology from Brandeis University.
