Paige-Elizabeth Avery

Paige-Elizabeth Avery currently serves as an Assistant Federal Public Defender for the Federal Defender Organizations since May 2024. Prior experience includes a role as a Law Clerk with the United States Courts from October 2021 to May 2024 and as an Immigration Staff Attorney with the ECBA Volunteer Lawyers Project from January 2021 to October 2021. Additionally, Paige-Elizabeth was an Associate in Commercial & IP Litigation at Harter Secrest & Emery LLP from September 2019 to January 2021, and has held various positions during law school, including Student Caseworker and Research Assistant at Washington and Lee University School of Law, and as a Summer Associate at Harter Secrest & Emery LLP. Earlier experience includes a position as a Summer Law Clerk at Central Virginia Legal Aid Society and service as an AmeriCorps VISTA with The Service Collaborative of WNY. Paige-Elizabeth holds a Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law (2019) and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, summa cum laude, from SUNY Geneseo, along with further education at Koç University.
