Tezira Abe

Tezira Abe currently serves as an Assistant Federal Public Defender at the Federal Defender Organizations since September 2023. Prior to this role, Tezira worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the U.S. Courts of Appeals from September 2022 to August 2023 and for the U.S. District Courts from August 2020 to August 2022. Earlier experience includes an Immigration Intern position at the Office of the Appellate Defender and a Summer Associate role at Jones Day. Tezira also worked as a Student Attorney at the Child Advocacy Law Clinic and participated as a 1L Intern at Warner & Associates, focusing on mineral and royalty deeds. Educationally, Tezira holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of Michigan Law School and a Bachelor of Science in Public Relations from The University of Texas at Austin. Additional experience includes roles as a Math and ELA Tutor/College Exploration Curriculum Coordinator and a Digital Intern at Golf Channel.
