Peter McAvoy

Peter McAvoy is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial markets and trading. Currently serving as a Financial Markets Specialist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston since 2017, McAvoy oversees FRS Discount Window collateral policy and manages securities pledge oversight. Previously, McAvoy held the position of CCAR Reporting Manager at Santander Bank, where responsibilities included regulatory capital reporting for securities and credit risk. During a lengthy tenure at State Street Corporation, McAvoy progressed from Fixed Income Trader to Fixed Income Trading Manager, overseeing a substantial corporate bond and emerging markets lending portfolio. Earlier roles included Treasury Director at WinWin.com, where McAvoy managed cash management systems in Europe, and Money Market Trader at BankBoston, where McAvoy established a repo product for Emerging Market debt securities. McAvoy holds a degree in Business Finance from Northeastern University and a Master’s in Finance from Bentley University.
