Benjamin Olson is a Senior Associate Director at the Federal Reserve. Benjamin has over eight years of experience in consumer financial protection, including seven years at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. There, they oversaw the preparation of eight Dodd-Frank Act mortgage rulemakings, including the CFPB’s Ability-to-Repay/Qualified Mortgage rule, Mortgage Servicing rules, and Loan Originator Compensation rule. Prior to that, they served as the office's Managing Counsel for Mortgage Products and led the CFPB’s preparation of proposed regulations and forms integrating federal mortgage disclosures under the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA). Mr. Olson also advised credit card issuers, mortgage lenders and servicers, and other providers of consumer financial products and services on compliance with consumer protection statutes and regulations and responding to examinations and investigations by federal and state agencies as a Partner at Buckley LLP.

Benjamin Olson has a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. in English from Tulane University.
