Morten Sorensen

Morten Sorensen serves as the Vice President of the System IT Portfolio Management Office at the Federal Reserve System since November 2021. In this role, Morten drives IT portfolio management practices and strategic alignment to enhance business agility while also supporting the System IT Portfolio Management Community of Practice. Prior experience includes significant roles at Project Management Institute, where Morten engaged in numerous speaking engagements focused on enterprise portfolio alignment and benefits realization. Morten has held senior management positions, including Vice President of Project Management Office at Peraton and Business Solutions Officer at Amtrak, demonstrating a robust background in strategic program management and corporate IT portfolio oversight. Morten holds a BScEE in Data Communication and Software Engineering from The Engineering College of Aarhus, as well as education from Aarhus Business College and Harvard Business School.
