Ashley Schimke currently serves as a Regional Outreach Coordinator Impact Fellow at the Federation of American Scientists, focusing on enhancing America’s food systems through strategic insights and policy influence. As a Food Leaders Fellow at the Aspen Institute, Ashley participates in a program designed to foster collaboration and transformation among emerging food system leaders. Previously, as a Food System Specialist at the Arizona Department of Education, Ashley conducted research and provided guidance on school food access, emphasizing marginalized populations. Additional experience includes roles as a Farm to School Program Specialist, Grant Writer for Local First Arizona, and Diet Tech at St. Luke's Hospital. Ashley completed a Dietetic Internship at the University of Northern Colorado and holds a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Arizona State University.
