Ian S. Ryu, PhD has a comprehensive and diverse work experience in academia, research, and technology partnerships. Ian S. currently serves as the Head of Technology Partnerships at FedTech. Prior to this, they worked at the National Institute of Standards and Technology, where they held various roles including the Leadership Team for Postdoctoral and Early-career Association of Researchers (PEAR) and Scientific Research Specialist. During their tenure, they focused on hyperspectral imaging microscopy for the biopharmaceutical industry and led a partnership project with a major biopharma company on drug delivery vehicles.

Ian also contributed significantly to the field of quantum computing and biology during their time at the University of California, Berkeley. Ian S. was engaged as a Graduate Student Researcher/Postdoctoral Fellow, leading multiple projects and initiatives exploring the connection between photosynthesis and quantum computing. As a Graduate Student Instructor, they provided instruction and support to students.

Additionally, Ian served as the Communication Director at KOLIS (Korean Life Scientists in the Bay Area) and gained valuable research experience as an Undergraduate Researcher at Korea University, where they built a foundation in various scientific disciplines.

In 2005, Ryu spent a year as an exchange student at the University of Toronto. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at the University of California, Berkeley, completing their studies from 2007 to 2013.
