Chad Steward

Chad Steward has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Chad most recently worked as the Director of Food Industry Partnerships at Feeding America since August 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Interim Director of Food Procurement at Northern Illinois Food Bank from July to August 2022, and as the Donor Development Manager from March 2018 to August 2022. Before their work in the food industry, they worked at Primus Electronics Corporation as an Inside Sales-National Accounts representative from May 2015 to November 2017. Chad then joined Sigma Sport USA as an Inside Sales representative from January 2009 to April 2015. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Store Manager at Pearl Izumi from March 2006 to December 2008. Chad also has experience in maintenance, having worked at Batavia Public School District 101 from June 2000 to March 2006. Their career started with an internship at Walt Disney World from August 2003 to January 2004.

Chad Steward holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Aurora University, which they obtained in 2007. Chad also attended Waubonsee Community College but did not earn a degree from there. In terms of certifications, Chad obtained the Food Safety Manager Certification (FSMC) from the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP) in April 2021 and completed Food Handler Safety Training from Learn2Serve (ANSI Accredited) in April 2018. Additionally, they acquired the Bystander Intervention: Extended Edition and Preventing Discrimination & Harassment: Chicago Managers Edition V5 certifications from Traliant in 2023, although the specific month is not specified.
