Mariia Fedotenkova has worked in a variety of roles related to signal processing and machine learning. Mariia began their career in 2011 as a Junior QA Engineer at Sperasoft, where they performed manual testing and reported bugs on software products of Sony Interactive Entertainment. In 2013, Mariia began their doctoral research at Inria, where they performed analysis of EEG signals recorded during general anaesthesia in order to identify characteristic features of pain. Mariia also created several Matlab/Octave packages for time-frequency analysis. In 2017, Mariia moved to BioSerenity as a Signal and Data Processing Engineer. In 2019, they began working at Dreem as a Signal Processing Engineer. In 2022, Mariia was hired by Volta Medical as a Senior signal processing engineer, and they also began working at FeetMe as a Machine Learning and Signal Processing Engineer.
Mariia Fedotenkova obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" in 2011. Mariia then went on to earn a Master of Science in Technomathematics from LUT University in 2012, followed by a Master of Science in Biotechnical Systems and Technologies from Saint Petersburg State Electrotechnical University "LETI" in 2013. Finally, Mariia earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science (Neuroscience) from Universite de Lorraine in 2016.
