Matthew Ridgway

Matthew Ridgway is a seasoned transportation professional with over 30 years of experience. As Principal at Fehr & Peers since January 1994, Matthew has led numerous transformative transportation projects. Matthew also served as President of Fehr & Peers DC from January 2015 to December 2021, continuing impactful work in a new business entity. In addition to these roles, Matthew was a member and Chair of the Bicycle Research Subcommittee for the Transportation Research Board's Bicycle Transportation Committee from January 2013 to December 2021, and previously held the position of Chair for the Pedestrian and Bicycle Council at the Institute of Transportation Engineering from 2008 to 2010. Early in Matthew's career, a role as a Transportation Planner at Wilbur Smith Associates provided foundational experience. Matthew earned a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from San Francisco State University between 1987 and 1990.
