What you'll do:
- Provide technical leadership and vision in a widely scoped engineering team
- Oversee and participate in the development of customer-facing products, focused on increasing the engagement from our customers.
- Balancing a long-term vision with a high-impact and iterative roadmap.
- Be extremely hands on and jump in wherever required
- Coordinate with stakeholders both within engineering as well as other departments to align efforts and drive business outcomes
- Lead mission-critical projects
- Handle customer escalations
- Coach and mentor engineers at different levels to achieve their career goals
- Review technical specs
Who you are:
- 8+ years of experience building software products with 2+ years of technical leadership experience
- Strong knowledge and experience building products using various backend and frontend technologies
- Strong product sense and able to make decisions in a fast paced environment
- Proven track record of taking initiative and leading projects
- Proven experience in hiring and managing engineers
- Excellent at cross-functional collaboration, able to articulate technical concepts to non-technical partners
- Has spent time at a startup company (< 100 people)
- Opinionated and correct about which technologies to use, when, and why
- Strong written and verbal communication
