Atalia Jones

Atalia Jones has extensive experience in education and youth programs, currently serving as a Special Education Teacher and previously as a Life Skills Paraeducator at Ferndale School District No. 502 since February 2019. Atalia volunteered with Whatcom Family and Community Network, assisting local families and children. From November 2017 to August 2022, Atalia held the position of Vice President on the Board of Directors for Bellingham Public Schools while also mentoring students as a Para-Educator. Earlier roles include directing youth programs at Bellingham Athletic Club Inc., where effective coordination and safety oversight were prioritized. Atalia also worked as a Patient Services Coordinator at Northwest Gastroenterology Associates and as a Youth Counselor for Celebrity Cruises, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Teaching from Western Governors University and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in English Literature from Western Washington University.
