Ricard Aiguabella Macau is an accomplished aerodynamicist specializing in motorsport engineering with extensive experience in the automotive and Formula One industries. Currently serving as a New Concepts Aerodynamicist Specialist at Ferrari F1 Team since February 2020, Ricard also acts as an ambassador for the Ferrari F1 Engineering Academy. Prior roles include Senior Aerodynamics Engineer at Tesla, where Ricard led aerodynamic development for the Model Y and contributed to several other significant projects, such as the Model S Plaid and Cybertruck. Experience at Sahara Force India Formula One Team spanned over five years in various aerodynamicist roles, while earlier positions included responsibilities as Technical Director for a Formula 750 project and CFD Research Leader at Fundacio CIM. Ricard holds a Master’s degree in Motorsport Engineering from Oxford Brookes University and has other advanced degrees in Racecar Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from Mondragon Unibertsitatea and Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, respectively.
