Simona Biriescu

Simona Biriescu began their work experience in 2004 at Procter&Gamble, where they worked as a Plant Cost Analyst from January 2004 to November 2005. Simona then moved on to the role of Balkans Customer Business Development Analyst from November 2005 to April 2006.

In 2006, Biriescu joined Procter and Gamble Balkans as a Balkans Financial Analyst for Gillette and Baby Care, a role they held until March 2008.

In September 2008, Biriescu joined Ferring Pharmaceuticals as the Finance and Administration Manager for Romania. In this role, they were responsible for setting up the representative office and managing the growing organization in Romania. Simona'sresponsibilities included business modeling and forecasting, improving internal processes, monitoring performance and efficiency, participating in strategic planning, and developing a local internal control system. Simona also handled financial tasks such as preparing accounts and statements, monitoring cash flow, and managing tax issues.

Biriescu then took on various roles at Ferring Pharmaceuticals, including Balkans and Hungary Finance Director from October 2017 to January 2024, Balkans, Hungary, and Greece Finance Director from January 2023 to January 2024, Operational Lead Balkans Hungary Greece from September 2023 to January 2024, and currently as the Global Service Delivery Lead.

Throughout their career, Biriescu has demonstrated a strong background in finance and administration, process improvement, and strategic planning. Simona has also gained experience in customer business development and financial analysis.

Simona Biriescu completed their Certificate of Business Accounting from CIMA, attending from 2002 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and Administration from the West University of Timisoara, where they studied from 1996 to 2000.
