Roberto Tundo

Experienced C-level Executive at Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane SpA

Born in Palermo in 1970, he graduated in Statistical and Economic Sciences and in 2007 he obtained a Master in Business Administration from LUISS Guido Carli in Rome.

Since October 2021 he is the Chief Technology, Innovation & Digital Officer of the Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Group.

After an initial work experience in an IT services company of the Banco di Sicilia Group, in 1992 he began a professional career in the ENEL Group in the field of Information & Communication Technology and digital innovation applied to the sectors of Network Control and Management. Electricity, Generation (conventional and from renewable sources), Energy Management and Trading, which will continue until 2015 in roles of increasing responsibility. He also actively participates in the international development initiatives of the ENEL Group, assuming the role of Chief Information Officer (since 2012) in the ENEL Green Power company in various foreign countries and the responsibility of the Group's Digital Business Enabler.

From 2016 to 2019 he was Chief Information & Technology Officer at the Alitalia Group, where he gained important experience in the field of technological innovation and digital evolution to support B2B, B2C and parallel highly critical operational processes, guaranteeing their resilience. He also holds the role of IT Board Member of the Skyteam Alliance.

In 2019 he became Chief Information Officer of the Terna Group where he initiated a path of evolution of the corporate information system that realizes important elements of innovation linked to the Internet of Things, Edge Computing and the use of advanced wired and wireless connectivity systems with 'goal of guaranteeing the safety and resilience of the national electricity grid. He also takes on the role of ICT Board Member of the Digital Committee ENTSO-E (European network of electricity transmission system operators).

In July 2020 he assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Olivetti company in the Telecom Italia Group with the task of transforming the company into a reality of primary importance in the role of IoT solutions and Digital Payments for Small, Medium & Large Enterprises as well as the Public Administration.
