Rachel Slaybaugh

Rachel Slaybaugh is an accomplished professional in the fields of energy and technology, currently serving as a Board Member and People and Culture Committee Chair at Fervo Energy, and a Board Member at Fourth Power. As a Partner at DCVC, Rachel focuses on climate tech, supporting entrepreneurs tackling significant global challenges. With experience as an Independent Board Member at Radiant and a Board Observer for several organizations including Brimstone Energy and Petra, Rachel actively contributes to advancing innovation in energy. Previously, Rachel held key roles at Berkeley Lab and UC Berkeley, where significant contributions included developing innovative programs for hard tech entrepreneurs and mentoring PhD students. Rachel holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering and Engineering Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a BS in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University.
