Sebastian Nickel

Sebastian Nickel has been involved in Machine Learning and Natural Language Processing research and development since 2010. In 2013, they worked as a Remote Researcher for the Machine Intelligence Research Institute, where they contributed to a summary of the breakdown of Dennard Scaling. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at both itzMe and Fetch.AI as a Machine Learning Research Engineer and Machine Learning Researcher, respectively. Sebastian recently quit their last job and is now taking time off to study.

Sebastian Nickel obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Université Paris 8 between 2006 and 2010. Sebastian then went on to obtain a Bachelor's Degree (Hons) in Mathematics, Computer Science, and Physics from The Open University between 2011 and 2014. In April 2016, they obtained three certifications: CompTIA Linux+ (Powered by LPI) from CompTIA, SUSE Certified Linux Administrator from SUSE, and LPIC-1: Linux Server Professional Certification from the Linux Professional Institute.
