Cassy Smithies

Cassy Smithies has extensive work experience in the fields of product design, user experience design, and graphic design. Cassy is currently working as a Product Designer at Fetch since May 2022. Previously, they worked as a User Experience Designer at Epic from June 2020 to May 2022. Before that, they held the position of Senior Designer at Reporter Magazine, a student organization, from November 2015 to April 2020. Cassy has also gained valuable experience through internships, including User Experience Design Intern at Epic from May 2019 to August 2019, User Experience Design Intern at GE Digital from May 2018 to December 2018, and Graphic Design Intern at Valpak of Rochester Direct & Digital Marketing from January 2017 to August 2017. Cassy also worked as a Graphic Designer at RIT Office of Career Services from June 2017 to May 2019. Additionally, Cassy has engineering experience as an Engineering Co-op at General Electric Aviation from June 2016 to December 2016 and as a Manufacturing Intern at Prolamina in 2015.

Cassy Smithies attended Westfield High School from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained their high school degree. Following high school, they pursued their higher education at Rochester Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2020. During their time there, Cassy focused on the field of study of New Media Design, with a minor in History. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Red Cross Greater New York in May 2015.
