Senior Robotic Systems Engineer at Fetch Robotics

Justin Watson has a wealth of experience in engineering and software design. Justin began their career in 2005 as a Research Associate I at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, where they did Java design and programming for statistics data and created websites using Java GUI design. In 2012, they worked as an Electrical Design Engineer I at GATR Technologies, designing and developing the electronics for a satellite tracking system. At Trivector, they developed an academically rigorous, media rich, age-appropriate curriculum to teach the fundamentals of circuits and telemetry to 16-18 year-old students. In 2013, they worked as a Firmware Engineer at Greenbotics, developing algorithms and implementing them in C, and as a Software Design Engineer I at Airphrame, writing web software in Python and software for phones in C++. From 2014 to 2018, they worked as a Firmware Engineer at Galil Motion Control, creating four new products in the C programming language and Assembly programming language. Justin currently works as a Senior Robotic Systems Engineer at Fetch Robotics, designing and testing firmware for autonomous moving robots and leading the charging system technical team.

Justin Watson obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2011. Justin then completed a Full Stack Web Development program from Free Code Camp in 2016. In 2017, they obtained a Self-Driving Car Engineer certification from Udacity. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from the Goethe-Institut e.V., LinkedIn, and the Federal Communications Commission.
