Valentine Veena

Ms. Valentine Veena brings more than 18 years of clinical research industry experience to her role as Director, Clinical Operations (Africa). Valentine has extensive background in management of clinical trials including site set-up, management of the ethics and regulatory approval processes, regulatory document review and reconciliation, development of participant recruitment and retention strategies as well as clinical monitoring and site management.

She previously served as Associate Director, Clinical Operations (Africa) for FHI Clinical and was promoted to her current role in December 2022. She has also held various roles in her career including Clinical Project Manager, Snr. CRA, CRA and site study coordinator.

Prior to joining FHI Clinical, Valentine was the Deputy Director, Clinical Research for FHI 360, providing general oversight for the Africa Clinical Research Unit. Valentine has also worked for KEMRI/Wellcome Trust Research Program (KWTRP) as well as The Walter Reed Project (WRP) in Kenya.

Ms. Veena holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from The University of Nairobi and a master’s degree in Clinical Trials from The University of London.
