H. James Z.

H. James Z. has worked in a variety of roles in the software engineering and firmware engineering fields. In 2011, they began their career as a Software Engineer Intern at NVIDIA. H. James was then promoted to Software Engineer in 2012, and moved to Square in 2014 as an Embedded Software Engineer and Android Platform Engineer. In 2018, they joined Verily Life Sciences as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the Firmware Lead of Class 1 medical device development from scratch to pilot, and drove the product to Bluetooth SIG certification and FDA 510K certification. In 2022, they moved to Google as a Senior Firmware Engineer, and in 2023 they joined Fi as a Firmware Engineer.

H. James Z. attended the University of Waterloo from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a B.CS., Honours Computer Science, with a Digital Hardware Option.
