Micha Hernandez van Leuffen

Micha Hernandez van Leuffen is the founder and CEO of Fiberplane. Micha has over a decade of experience in the tech industry, including stints as an engineer, project manager, and software development vice president. Her most recent position before Fiberplane was as an investor with NP-Hard Ventures.

Hernandez van Leuffen’s passion for technology began early. As a child, they loved taking things apart to see how they worked. This led to a natural interest in engineering and they pursued it as a career, studying at some of the top schools in the Netherlands. After graduation, they started their first job as an engineer at Qi Ideas.

After a few years at Qi Ideas, Hernandez van Leuffen decided to switch gears and try their hand at project management. Micha took a role at Mediaxplosion, where they quickly proved herself to be an adept leader. From there, they transitioned into software development, joining Oracle as Vice President of Software Development. Micha was part of the team that built Oracle’s cloud native products, helping to define the strategy and roadmap for the company’s cloud offerings.

In 2013, Hernandez van Leuffen decided to strike out on their own and founded Wercker. Wercker is a platform that helps developers ship code faster and with more confidence. The company grew quickly, and within a few years Hernandez van Leuffen was leading a team of over 100 people.

In 2018, Hernandez van Leuffen sold Wercker to Oracle and took some time off to travel. Micha soon realized that they missed the fast-paced world of startups and decided to start their next company, Fiberplane. Fiberplane is a collaborative notebook designed for teams to use when resolving incidents. The company’s vision is to change how DevOps engineers and SREs work together to resolve outages and downtime.

Hernandez van Leuffen is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for building innovative products that make people’s lives easier. Micha is constantly thinking about ways to improve the way we work, and their experience in both engineering and software development gives their a unique perspective on the challenges faced by today’s infrastructure teams.
